Plant shop pilot

Help shape what LeafNest could become for plant shops.

LeafNest does not have a finished partner program yet. We are looking for a small number of local shops willing to share how customer aftercare works today and what could genuinely improve it.

Why are we talking with plant shops now?

In-store handoff moment

Add a shop counter photograph, printed handoff card, or QR touchpoint when partnership assets are ready.

The sale is often the beginning of the customer’s hardest questions. Once a plant reaches a new room, the owner has to understand its identity, light, watering, placement, and the signs that something is changing.

Before designing any shop program, LeafNest needs to understand what stores already do well, where customers still struggle, and whether a digital companion would actually be useful. This pilot is a research conversation, not a finished commercial offer.

Where do new owners get stuck?

Learn which questions appear most often after purchase and which care instructions are hardest for customers to apply at home.

What should remain human?

Understand where shop expertise and personal advice matter most, and where software should stay out of the way.

Could a simple handoff help?

Explore whether a lightweight introduction to LeafNest could help customers organize care without slowing down staff or checkout.

What would make a pilot worthwhile?

Define useful outcomes for the shop, its staff, and its customers before building a larger partnership model.

What participating in the early pilot could look like.

  1. Phase 01

    A short discovery conversation

Talk through the plants you sell, the care questions customers ask, and the aftercare materials or conversations you already provide.

  2. Phase 02

    A small, optional experiment

If there is a useful idea, test one simple handoff with a limited group rather than introducing a broad or permanent program.

  3. Phase 03

    Honest feedback before expansion

Review what customers and staff actually used, what created friction, and whether the idea deserves another iteration.

The pilot should strengthen shop expertise, not imitate it.

Local plant shops offer context that generic search results cannot always provide. Staff understand the plants they stock, the questions people bring in, and the conditions common to nearby homes and gardens.

LeafNest may be able to complement that knowledge by helping customers keep plant information and care tasks organized after purchase. That idea still needs to be tested with real shops before any claim can be made about its value.

There is currently no paid partner package, promised customer result, or established rollout. The purpose of this page is to find thoughtful early participants and learn before formalizing anything.

What we would ask an early pilot shop.

Where do customers need the most help?

The best starting point may be identification, watering confidence, first-week care, seasonal guidance, or organizing several plants at home.

What handoff fits the store experience?

Any introduction should be easy for staff to explain and easy for customers to understand without slowing down the purchase or replacing personal advice.

How will the partnership stay trustworthy?

Care information, customer expectations, staff feedback, and the role of local expertise should remain clear as partnership ideas are tested and refined.

Partner story or local shop profile

A future case study can show the shop, its plant expertise, and the customer problem being solved.

Open to a low-pressure pilot conversation?

Tell us about your shop and the aftercare questions you see. There is no commitment to join a program because the program has not been designed yet.
